School Admissions

All applicants who want to apply for a place for their child to start St. Nicholas Primary School must complete the Hull Local Authority Common Application Form to express their preferences. This form can be obtained from the Hull City Council Admissions Team, or via the link below.

For further information please visit Hull City Council’s website or see below the Admissions Policy.

Parents will be informed about the decision to admit/ not to admit at a future date.

The school has a strong ethos regarding inclusion. Arrangements of pupils with disabilities will be made prior to admission. Children enter school in the academic year in which they become five.

There is one admission date per year, early in September ( i.e. at the start of the school year). All children are admitted full time on the first day of the Autumn Term.

Parents who would like their child to be admitted to this school during the year their child is five should ensure that they complete the necessary application form by the end of January in the year of admission.

Parents of children moving into the area or wishing them to transfer from another school should contact the Admissions Team as above. Acceptance will depend upon any vacancies arising.
